TWAS for the Week of October 11-14

Good Morning Families of Room 73

Here is what we did, This Week At School

This week we began to make our own Halloween Monsters. We can't say much more than this because it is a surprise!

In math we began our place value unit. We looked at what numbers look like in word, standard, expanded and picture form. We also had our math stations to test our new knowledge.

This week we began our research for social studies. The four countries that will we will be studying are Peru, India, Tunisia, and the Ukraine. Students got to rank these countries in terms of how much they would like to study them and will be put into groups next week.

In music we learned a new song, the Moon song, which we sung and played on instruments.

This week we did one whole rotation of Daily 5. If you are trying to access Raz Kids at home, the teacher log in name is roverdevest0

This week we had a spelling test and will begin weekly regular spelling tests next week. Look out for a blog post from Ms. Overdevest this weekend, explaining what spelling will look like.

We chose our options for clubs week which will be starting later this month.

In gym we did a lot of movement activities on GoNoodle and Youtube, our favourite by far was the GHOSTBUSTERS DANCE!
By request of the students, here is the link! Enjoy!
